1/2 ring of kielbasa, sliced

2 russet potatoes, peeled and cubed

3-4 carrots, peeled and sliced

1 medium onion, diced

5 cloves garlic, chopped

1/2 head of cabbage, chopped

1 box (about 4 cups) chicken broth

2 cups water

1 teaspoon dried thyme

Salt and pepper to taste

Crusty sourdough bread for serving
